Remove four M2x2 screws securing the frame to the drive and lift off the frame.

Disconnect the flexible cable from the drive.
6.
Installing the FDD
To install the FDD, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-21 and 4-22.
Connect the flexible cable to the FDD.
1.
Secure the frame to the diskette drive with four M2x2 screws .
2.
Engage the latches on the frame with corresponding notches on the computer.
3.
Seat the diskette drive and secure it with four M2.5x6 screws .
4.
Connect the flexible cable to PJ5 on the system board.

Install the membrane switch, top cover and display assembly, sub-battery and VGA
assembly, keyboard, HDD, optional memory module, optional PC card, and
battery pack as described in sections 4.9 back through 4.2.
