Installing the Battery Pack
To install the battery pack, follow the steps below and refer to figure 4-3.
WARNING: The battery is a nickel metal hydride battery and should be replaced only
by your dealer or by a Toshiba service representative. The battery can explode if not
properly replaced, used, handled, or disposed of. Dispose of the battery as required by
local ordinances or regulations. Use only batteries recommended by Toshiba as re-
placements.
1.
Turn the computer off. Disconnect the AC power cord and all external cables
connected to the computer.
Carefully insert the new or recharged battery pack .

Replace the battery cover and push it closed. Be sure the battery cover latches

securely engage the corresponding holes on the computer.
Push the battery cover lock to secure the cover.
