2 Getting Started To power on the HG523, press the power button on the top of the HG523. After you power on the HG523, the ADSL indicator blinks (for less than three minutes), which indicates that the HG523 is being activated. Later, the ADSL indicator turns solid on. - Page 5 The WAN connection is set up. No data is being transmitted. The HG523 works in bridge mode. The HG523 works in routing mode, but no WAN connection is set up. Blinking Data is being transmitted through the Ethernet interface.
