Work rules Unless specified otherwise, the ignition must be turned off during all work (models with ignition lock, models with remote key) or the engine must be at a standstill (models without ignition lock or remote key).

The electronic fuel injection system extends the injection time if the engine is cold and the ambient temperature is low.

    CONTROLS 6 6.11 Idle speed adjusting screw The idle setting of the throttle valve body substantially influences the vehicle’s starting behavior, a stable idle speed, and the vehi- cle’s response when the throttle is opened. An engine with a correctly set idle speed is easier to start than an engine with the idle speed set incorrectly.
