When storing a 3M Clean-Trace Luminometer for more than a month, the battery level should be at minimum of 50% charge. Do not store a 3M Clean-Trace Luminometer with a fully discharged battery, it may cause the battery to lose the ability to be recharged.
The 3M Clean-Trace Luminometer conserves battery power if the device is not in use. ▪ After 5 minutes of inactivity, the 3M Clean-Trace LM1 Luminometer goes into Sleep mode and the screen darkens. This time can be customized, refer to Changing sleep timeout section.
The user will have the option to set custom remind dates or chose to not show reminders. A calibration past due notification will display on the 3M Clean-Trace LM1 screen if it has been more than 365 days since the last calibration.
The Diagnostic Check screen appears. During the diagnostic check, a progress bar is visible – refer to the next section for more details. Tap [Got It] when complete. The Sign in screen appears. (English) Recording Temperature or pH for a Test point within a Sample plan If a Test point includes pH, Temperature, or other Test types, the first Test type to be presented for testing is the Visual Inspection if enabled, then ATP tests, if enabled. The user may run the tests in the default sequence presented or in any order.
Test results are available and viewable on the 3M™ Clean-Trace™ LM1 Luminometer screen until the unit is synchronized to the 3M™ Clean-Trace™ Desktop Software. Test results may be deleted from the 3M Clean-Trace LM1 luminometer after synchronization, following the set results retention configuration. Refer to the 3M Clean-Trace Software User Manual for result retention configuration.
HOW TO SYNCHRONIZE THE 3M™ CLEAN‑TRACE™ LM1 LUMINOMETER Definition Synchronization is the mechanism that allows the 3M Clean-Trace Luminometer to communicate with the 3M Clean-Trace Desktop Software. Refer to the 3M Clean-Trace Hygiene Management Software User Manual, for more information on Sync Manager and synchronization.
For first time USB synchronization user must be logged-in on the Sync Manager. Subsequent USB synchronization will only require the sync manager to be running - refers to the to the 3M Clean-Trace Hygiene Management Software User Manual for additional details on the Sync manager.

Trace™ Luminometer If connected on Wi-Fi with Internet access, date and time on the 3M Clean-Trace LM1 Luminometer will be set or adjusted automatically using Network Time Protocol (NTP), if “Automatic date & time” is checked in the 3M Clean- Trace LM1 settings.
The sleep timeout refers to the inactivity period needed for the 3M Clean-Trace LM1 Luminometer prior to entering the sleep mode. The sleep mode is a power-saving mode of operation in which the screen and other parts of the 3M Clean-Trace LM1 are switched off until needed.
