1 Introduction Introduction Abbreviations & Acronyms Table 1-1 Abbreviation/Acronym Definition Base Station Customer Premises Equipment PUSC Partial Used Sub Channels Overview The CPE scanner is used for network discovery for the first-time, initial network entry or network re-entry after a link drop. The process does not apply to network entry triggered by handover.
2 Configuration and Operation Configuration and Operation Singular Frequency and Frequency Range CPE scanner configuration includes a list of possible frequencies that can be a singular frequency or a range of frequencies. The maximum number of entries in the list is 32. Single frequency is defined by setting the Start and the End frequency to the same value and the number of steps to 0.
2 Configuration and Operation Figure 2-2: Frequency Range List Configuration Defining a start frequency as 3.473 Ghz and an end frequency of 3.583 Ghz with a step of 11 Mhz is similar to defining singular frequencies as 3.473 Ghz, 3.484 Ghz, 3.

2 Configuration and Operation If no BS signal is received that is above the defined CINR threshold, the CPE will complete a scan of all defined frequencies in the scanner. Once the scan is complete, the CPE will try to connect to the BS with the highest CINR irrespective of the defined priorities.
2 Configuration and Operation In a case where no priorities are set for frequencies defined in the scanner, the CPE will scan all frequencies. Once the scan is complete, the CPE will try to connect to the BS with the highest CINR. Figure 2-6: No Priority PUSC MODE “PUSC mode”...
