Drive handling CAUTION: Drives are fragile components that must be handled with care. To prevent damage to the computer, damage to a drive, or loss of information, observe these precautions: Before removing or inserting a hard drive, shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

Remove the display assembly subcomponents: If it is necessary to replace the display bezel: If you need to remove the display bezel, flex the top (1) of the bezel, the inside edges of the left and right sides (2), and then the bottom (3) of the bezel until it disengages from the display enclosure.

Detach the camera module (1) from the display back cover. (The module is attached with double- sided adhesive.) Disconnect the cable (2) from the camera/microphone module. If it is necessary to replace the hinge cover, use a plastic, non-marking tool to pull up on the side of the hinge cover (1), and then remove it (2).
